The Transit City Condos are located in the Vaughan Metropolitan Center at the western terminus of the Yonge University line. VMC is the new central business district of Vaughan and a major transit hub for the GTA. The project consists of two 55 storey towers containing 1100 residential units, which sit atop a 7 storey podium that houses a parkade and the newest addition to the BUCA family of restaurants.
Each tower consists of two volumes that slip past each other to break their monolithic forms, creating a more dynamic silhouette while remaining restrained and minimal. The facade treatment of balconies and curtainwall work together to create a supergraphic brick pattern designed to lend a unique identity to the project and be legible from afar. The white metal panels and reflective glass ensure the towers feel light and airy despite their stature. The units are large, light filled and modern with continuous balconies and expansive views. The building is also right next the new 100 acre park that will serve as an incredible public amenity for the area.
